Yorkshire is one of those places we keep returning to, with beautiful countryside, woodland, reservoirs and some lovely towns and villages to explore along the way. There are plenty of walks where you can enjoy the scenery without having to tackle a long or difficult hike.
This page brings together our favourite Yorkshire walks, with a focus on easier, dog-friendly routes and places where you can make a full day of your visit. We particularly enjoy walks with good views, straightforward trails and somewhere nearby to stop for a coffee or something to eat afterwards.
For each walk, I’ll share the practical information we like to know before setting off, including parking, distance, approximate walking time, terrain, difficulty, toilets and whether the route is dog-friendly.
I’ll keep adding more Yorkshire walks as we explore, so hopefully you’ll find some inspiration for your next day out.
