If you’re looking for overnight campervan parking in St Annes, Lancashire, there are four council-permitted parking areas along the seafront, all within easy reach of the beach, pier, cafés and local attractions.
St Annes is a lovely place to stop if you’re travelling along the Lancashire coast. With miles of sandy beach, a traditional pier and plenty of places to eat, it’s a great location for a night or two away in your campervan or motorhome without booking into a campsite.
Living locally, I know the St Annes seafront well, although I haven’t stayed overnight in any of these parking areas myself. I thought it would be useful to put together a guide showing you exactly where you can park, what facilities are available and what you can expect from each location.
All four parking areas cost £15 for one night or £25 for two nights, with a maximum stay of 48 hours. One also has a dedicated motorhome waste disposal facility, which is particularly useful if you’re travelling along the coast.
Whether you’re visiting with children, bringing the dogs or simply looking for somewhere to park up and enjoy the beach, here’s everything you need to know.
1. St Annes Swimming Pool Car Park – Great for Families
Location: St Annes Swimming Pool, FY8 1LS

This is a fantastic location if you’re visiting St Annes with children. The campervan parking spaces are right next to the beach, with plenty of attractions and facilities just a short walk away.
The beach stretches for miles, so there’s plenty of space for the children to play, build sandcastles or enjoy a paddle in the sea.
If you’re bringing your dogs, the beach to the left of the swimming pool complex is dog-friendly, while the beach to the right has seasonal dog restrictions. With such a large stretch of sand available, there’s still plenty of room for a lovely walk with your dogs.
Facilities and things to do
There’s plenty to keep everyone entertained without needing to move your campervan.
You’ll find a swimming pool, cinema, amusement arcade, mini golf and splash pool, along with cafés and places to eat.
There’s also a Toby Carvery nearby, and some lovely hotels across the road where you can stop for a drink or something to eat.
The seafront has plenty of bins and water stations, along with public toilets, although there is a charge to use them.
St Annes town centre is approximately a 10-minute walk away, with shops, cafés and restaurants.
One of the things I love about St Annes is that it has a completely different feel from Blackpool. It’s a quieter, more traditional seaside town without all the busy amusement shops and attractions that you find along parts of Blackpool Promenade.
You can spend the day on the beach, enjoy something to eat and return to your campervan without needing to drive anywhere.
For families looking for a seaside stopover, this is a great location with everything within easy walking distance.
2. North Promenade Car Park – With Motorhome Waste Disposal
Location: North Promenade Car Park, FY8 2NQ

- Dedicated motorhome waste disposal facility
The second overnight campervan parking area is North Promenade Car Park, located to the right of St Annes Pier when you’re standing facing the pier from the promenade.
Again, you’re right next to the beach, making this a convenient place to stop if you want to enjoy the seafront without needing to travel anywhere.
The pier, promenade and town centre are all within easy walking distance.
One of the main advantages of this location is the dedicated motorhome waste disposal facility.
Motorhome waste disposal in St Annes
There is a dedicated campervan stopping area where you can pull up to empty your waste, with 20 minutes of free parking provided for this purpose.
A sluice facility is available here, along with public toilets.
This is particularly useful if you’re travelling along the Lancashire coast and need somewhere to empty your toilet cassette without booking into a campsite.
Even if you’re not staying overnight in this particular car park, it’s worth knowing where the waste disposal point is located.
3. North Beach Car Park – Convenient for Visiting Blackpool

North Beach Car Park is a large, busy car park with approximately 10 dedicated campervan parking spaces.
It’s surrounded by residential flats and houses, so it has a slightly different feel from some of the more open parking areas along the seafront.
The car park is right next to the beach, with public toilets available nearby.
There’s also a café just to the right of the car park when you’re looking towards the beach. It’s easy to miss, but you’ll spot it as you walk back from the beach towards your campervan.
The car park is often busy, particularly during the summer and on sunny weekends, so it’s worth bearing this in mind if you’re hoping to find a space.
Visiting Blackpool from North Beach Car Park
This is the closest of the four campervan parking areas to Blackpool, making it a convenient option if you’re planning to visit Blackpool Pleasure Beach during your stay.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is approximately 8–12 minutes away by car, depending on traffic.
You could spend the day enjoying Blackpool’s attractions before returning to St Annes for a quieter evening by the sea.
If you prefer a traditional seaside town but still want to visit Blackpool, this could be a useful place to stop.
4. Fairhaven Road Car Park – My Favourite Location

- Maximum vehicle length: 8 metres
- Public toilets: 40p
- Café next to the car park
- Direct access to the beach
Fairhaven Road is probably my favourite of the four campervan parking areas in St Annes.
It’s a large, open car park located further along the seafront towards Lytham, with direct access to the beach.
What I particularly like about this location is that it feels much more open and a little quieter than the parking areas closer to the pier.
There’s a café next to the car park, along with public toilets costing 40p.
Although you’re a little further away from the main attractions, you can easily walk along the promenade to the St Annes swimming pool complex, where you’ll find the cafés, cinema, amusements, mini golf and other facilities.
You have the convenience of everything St Annes has to offer without being right in the middle of the busiest part of the seafront.
For me, this would be a lovely place to park up, take the dogs for a walk along the beach and enjoy a quieter evening by the coast.
If you’re travelling with dogs or simply prefer somewhere a little less busy, Fairhaven Road is well worth considering.

The four parking areas are council-permitted overnight motorhome parking locations rather than traditional campsites.

Is St Annes Beach Dog-Friendly?
St Annes is a lovely place to visit with dogs, with miles of sandy beach and plenty of space for a long walk.
There are seasonal dog restrictions on part of the main beach, particularly around the central bathing area near the pier.
However, there are large stretches of beach where dogs are welcome, including the beach to the left of the swimming pool complex.
With such a long stretch of coastline, there’s still plenty of space to enjoy a walk with your dogs.
Always check the signs at the beach access points, particularly during the summer months, as restrictions apply to specific areas.
Things to Do in St Annes During Your Campervan Stay
One of the best things about staying along St Annes seafront is that you can leave your campervan parked up and explore on foot.
There’s plenty to do without needing to travel far.
You can enjoy a walk along the promenade, visit St Annes Pier, spend the day on the beach or stop for coffee and cake in one of the many cafés.
If you’re visiting with children, the swimming pool, splash pool, amusements, cinema and mini golf are all close to the seafront.
St Annes town centre is also within walking distance, with a good selection of shops, restaurants and cafés.
If you fancy exploring a little further, you can head towards Lytham or visit Blackpool, which is only a short drive away.
Is Overnight Campervan Parking in St Annes Worth Considering?
If you’re travelling along the Lancashire coast and looking for somewhere to stop overnight without booking a campsite, St Annes is a lovely option.
All four council-permitted parking areas are close to the beach, with toilets nearby and plenty of places to eat and explore.
For families, the swimming pool car park has lots of attractions on its doorstep. North Promenade is particularly useful if you need to empty your motorhome waste, while North Beach is convenient for visiting Blackpool.
My personal favourite is Fairhaven Road because of its open setting, direct beach access and quieter surroundings.
Although I haven’t stayed overnight in these parking areas myself, I know the seafront well and think St Annes is a lovely place to spend a day or two exploring.
Whether you’re travelling with children, bringing the dogs or simply looking for somewhere to enjoy the Lancashire coast, there is plenty to see and do without needing to move your campervan.
